2026 WCQ: Black Stars Journey to Meknes For Wednesday’s Clash

The Black Stars have embarked on a journey to Meknes in Morocco, where they will play against the Central African Republic in a 2026 World Cup qualification match.
They departed Casablanca, where they opened their camp on Tuesday morning, the FA confirmed in a statement.
“The Black Stars have departed Casablanca and are headed to Meknes, where we will play against the Central African Republic on Wednesday.
It also confirmed that all 24 invited players are on board the bus to Meknes.
The team is expected to hold a training session at Stade H’onneur de Meknes at 5 pm this evening in preparation for the match on Wednesday.
The team opened camp on Sunday and trained at the Mohammed V Sports Complex as part of their preparations.
The Black Stars will face the Central African Republic at Stade D’Honneur de Meknes at 16:00 GMT on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
The Black Stars are chasing a fifth World Cup appearance, currently topping Group I with 19 points and just two matches left in the qualifiers.
