2025 WASSCE Results Reflect Academic Performance of Candidates- GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has stated that the results of the 2025 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) are a true reflection of the academic performance of the candidates.

This was in dispelling claims of unsupportive management practices of the Service.

It noted that the outcome is a credible representation of students’ abilities, adding that guard against examination malpractices was rigorously enforced.

“The 2025 WASSCE was conducted under heightened invigilation, strengthened supervision, and strict adherence to examination protocols across all centres. These measures significantly resulted in apprehension of some students and staff who would have engaged in examination malpractices.”

The Service affirmed that appreciation of outcome would be a direct demonstration of the trend towards restoring the integrity of the examination process.

“A credible examination system serves the best interest of our students, our schools, and the nation.”

The results released over the weekend showed that a total of 131,097 candidates scored below C6 in English, 429,076 scored below C6 in Mathematics, 382,412 scored below C6 in Integrated Science, and 445,265 scored below C6 in Social Studies.
