2025 AFCONQ: Ghana’s Daniel Laryea to Officiate Tunisia-Gambia Clash
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed dexterous Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea as the centre referee in Tunisia’s last Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Gambia.
The game scheduled for November 18 will be held at Stade Olympique de Radès.
He will be assisted by his fellow Ghanaian referees including Kwasi Acheampong Brobbey and Roland Nii Dodoo Addy. Meanwhile, Charles Benle Bulu will be the Fourth Official.
Ayi Laryea is a seasoned referee with extensive experience in international football. He officiated in the 2020 African Nations Championship in Cameroon; the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon; the 2023 Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
He has also served as a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in high-profile matches such as Raja vs Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
Other officials appointed for the game are Match Commissioner Joel Amarante Ramos Barros from Cape Verde; Referee Assessor Latré-Kayi Edzona Lawson-Hogban from Togo; Security Officer Imad Eddine Mahamdioua from Algeria and Broadcast Venue Manager Ahmed Khemiri from Tunisia.
