2024 Elections: No Voting at Abeka NPP Party Office- Police

The Ghana Police Service has dispelled reports that voting is taking place at the Abeka office of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Okaikwei Central Constituency.

A statement issued by the police said it had taken note of media reports “alleging that a group of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters stormed the New Patriotic Party office at Abeka in the Okaikwei Central Constituency over suspicions of voting taking place at the said location”.

The police following investigations asserted that no voting is taking place at the said office.

It also confirmed that the said place is not a polling station and therefore urged the public to disregard the misinformation.

“We urge the public to disregard this claim and partner with the Police as we work towards avoiding misinformation and disinformation during this critical time and beyond.”
