17 Ghanaian Nationals In Ukraine Arrive Home
The first batch of Ghanaian nationals who were in Ukraine has been evacuated back home safely.
The evacuees are currently in Accra.
They were conveyed back home after they were moved onto the Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Poland borders from Ukraine amidst the Russia-Ukraine uprising.
In a tweet, the Minister of Information announced, “This morning the first batch of Ghanaians evacuated from Ukraine arrive in Accra.”
The evacuation of the Ghanaian nationals followed assurances from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration about frantic efforts to ensure the safety and security of Ghanaians in Ukraine.
Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey is expected to convene a meeting with relatives of Ghanaians living in Ukraine over the evacuation of the Ghanaian nationals to a haven.
