11 Injured as Opel Astra and Nissan Mini Bus Collide at Eduadjei

Eleven individuals have sustained varying degrees of injuries after two vehicles collided at Eduadjei on the Cape Coast–Takoradi Highway on Tuesday evening.

The involved vehicles were an Opel Astra travelling from Cape Coast to Komenda and a Nissan Mini Bus heading in the opposite direction.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported that ten passengers aboard the mini bus were rescued by passersby and transported to the Elmina Poly Clinic, while the driver of the Opel Astra, who was trapped in his vehicle, was successfully extricated by its rescue team and later conveyed to the same facility by the National Ambulance Service.


‎Among the injured were nine men and two women.

“Firefighters also cleared debris from the road to restore traffic flow, while investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing,” the Fire Service said in a statement.
