11 FireFighters Laid Off

Eleven firefighters across various regions and District Commands in Ghana have been laid off according to the Public Relations Department of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).

The eleven personnel include two Senior officers and nine junior officers.

Their dismissal according to GNFS was due to various acts of indiscipline including vacation of post and recruitment fraud.

“The Service would like to assure the general public of its commitment to uphold the highest DisciplinaryStandards and shall always take disciplinary actions against recalcitrant officers.

Management of the service also urged the general public to report all officer’s acts of indiscipline.
