Zuarungu SHS Closed After Violent Clash

Zuarungu Senior High School in the Upper East Region has been shut down following a violent clash between Gurune and Kusasi students.
The shutdown followed a directive by the Regional Minister, Donatus Akamugri Atanga.
Per reports, the violence was triggered by the alleged theft of a mobile phone, which escalated into a fistfight, subsequently ending in the burning of some school structures.
The decision to close down the school indefinitely was informed by the heightened tensions across the school.
Meanwhile, it is reported that four students have been arrested in connection with the incident.
However, one of the suspects managed to escape during their transportation to the police station.
