Youth Coach Accused of Sodomising Deceased Teen to Report to Police

Siano Soccer Academy Coach Ibrahim Anyass accused of sodomising a teen player to death, is expected to report to the headquarters of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service today, according to reports.

The 16-year-old victim, identified as Ransford Owusu before his death, allegedly opened up to his mother about the frequent sexual abuse as his health deteriorated.

The coach is reported to have convinced Ransford that the act was meant to help improve his declining performance.

Crime Check in March reported that the victim went into a coma after opening up to his mother.

The abuse is said to have led to a kidney infection that ultimately caused his death.

Citing sources, Sports Journalist Saddick Adams reported on Friday that Siano Soccer Academy initially suspended the coach. However, the coach was subsequently recalled to duty after police extended no arrests or invitations to him or club officials following the incident earlier this year.
