You Can’t Bribe a Policeman Anymore- IGP
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Christian Yohuno, has boldly stated that his men now shun bribery.
According to him, officers reject bribes from the public in merit of their qualification for promotion.
“Today, I assure you that you cannot bribe the policeman anymore. If you attempt to bribe the policeman, he will disgrace you.”
Instead of accepting a bribe, he stated that police officers are focused on receiving promotions.
Meanwhile, he said the Service under his leadership is undergoing processes and the needed review to emerge as one of the best in the world.
“We want to be one of the best police forces in the world, and we are carving that image on which generations upon generations will follow it. We will get our glory back, and then we will make everybody in Ghana proud.”
