Ya-Na Congratulates Amin Adam On Appointment As Finance Minister
The Gbewa Palace has written to congratulate the country’s new Finance Minister, Hon Mohammed Amin Adam on his new role in charge of the country’s economic planning, fiscal policy, national accounting, the national budget, and creating an environment for investment and growth.
In a letter to the Member of Parliament for Karaga Constituency, Ya-Na Abukari II through his Secretary expressed his confidence in the economist.
“The Gbewaa Palace wishes to extend His Royal Majesty’s, Ndan Ya-Na Abukari II profound congratulations to you for your appointment as the Minister of Finance for our beloved nation, Ghana.”
The overlord of Dagbon posited that his appointment is a candle of hope for Ghana’s economic prosperity and a testament to his dedication and exemplary leadership.
“Your track record of commitment to public service and your profound understanding of fiscal matters inspire confidence in your ability to navigate the complexities of our nation’s finances with wisdom and integrity.
“As you embark on this noble journey, know that you carry with you the hopes and aspirations of the Ghanaian populace. We trust in your vision to foster sustainable economic growth, promote equitable development, and ensure financial stability for all citizens.”

Hon Amin Adam was reassigned to the Finance Ministry on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Prior to that, he was the Deputy Minister for Energy responsible for the Petroleum Sector.
He takes over from Ken Ofori Atta who has reportedly been appointed as the Senior Presidential Advisor on the Economy and Special Envoy on International Investments and Capital Markets.
