World Cup Qualifiers: 26 Players Culled by Otto Addo
Coach Otto Addo has named 25 players to face Mali and Central Africa Republic (CAR) in Ghana’s upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers in June.
At a press conference on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, Otto announced the comeback of Tariq Lamptey and Thomas partey.
Cagliari’s Ibrahim Sulemana and West Bromwich Albion’s Brandon Thomas-Asante gained their debutant national call-ups while Asante Kotoko’s Fedrick Asare got his second national call-up.
At the presser, Otto expressed his elation in retaking the Black Stars job saying “I’m very happy to be back. It was not easy but the FA had a lot of good talk with Dortmund and I’m back home now. I’m really really excited.”
He anticipates a tough task ahead but is willing to give out his best.
“I’m looking forward to the next match. It will be difficult especially because we are some points behind. It’s a tough situation but I’m looking forward to it.”
Ghana will face Mali in Bamako on June 6 and Central Africa Republic on June 10.
