The World Bank has agreed to partner with Ghana in the implementation of the Growth and Jobs Strategy.
This initiative is envisioned to provide jobs for over 500,000 young people each year.
This agreement was reached between the Finance Minister of Ghana, Cassiel Ato Forson and Anna Bjerde, the World Bank MD for Operations during a meeting at the Bank’s HQ in Washington, D.C.
Announcing the agreement after what he called a productive meeting on April 23, the Minister said, “Pleased to share that the World Bank has agreed to support Ghana in the development and implementation of a Growth and Jobs Strategy.”
According to him, this is a major boost for the government’s efforts to build an inclusive economy that delivers real opportunities for the youth of Ghana.
