Wontumi Declares Interest in NPP National Chairmanship Role
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, known as Chairman Wontumi, has served notice about his resolve to contest for the National Chairmanship position.
His declaration followed what he said was consultation with his Maker and party elders.
According to him, his interest is not founded on personal ambition but passion to strengthen, rebuild, and unify the party.
He deems himself the best candidate to assume the position.
“Our party has faced challenges and learned hard lessons along the way. At this critical moment, the NPP demands leadership that is steady, principled, and committed to unity.
A leader who is grassroots personified, who values every member from our elders to the youthful allies, and who is willing to make the ultimate sacrifices for the party,” he said in a statement.
“The road ahead will demand vision, courage, and unwavering determination. Leadership at this moment requires bravery-the courage to stand firm, make difficult decisions, and be willing to lose everything if necessary for the NPP.”
Wontumi further emphasised that he stands ready, organized and built to restore confidence, empower the grassroots, and position the NPP to win decisively in 2028.
“This is our moment to rise, to lead, and to deliver for the NPP. God bless the New Patriotic Party.
God bless our democracy.”
