Why Amasaman High Court Slashed Agradaa’s Jail Term to One Year

The Amasaman High Court on Thursday reduced the jail term of former traditional priestess-turned-evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, from 15 years to one year.

Upholding her conviction, the court indicated that the accompanying sentence was harsh and excessive.

It comes after Agradaa was sentenced on July 3, 2025, to 15 years’ imprisonment with hard labour on two counts of defrauding by false pretence.

The convict was also fined GH¢300 for charlatanic advertisement.
