We’ve Managed $600 Million Debt With Your Guidance, BOST Informs Asantehene
The Board Chairman for the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST),Mr. Ekow Hackman has disclosed that the company has been able to manage a debt of $600 million through the guidance and support of Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
With the help and knowledge of Otumfuo, several renovation works have been carried out by the company ensuring effectiveness in the sector.
“We have been able to settle a debt of $600 million with your directives, our pipes that were ruined have been retrieved now whilst the tanks have been fixed”, he said.
“Currently we are faced with the issue of poor road network leading to the refinary, we are hopeful of your support in handling that too.”
Mr. Hackman gave the updates at Manhyia Palace whilst he introduced the new members of the board to Otumfuo.
Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II upon meeting the new board members said he was glad things were going smooth on their side urging them to continue with the pace which has been set.
He however cautioned them against the endorsement of illegitimate contracts which could interfere with the business’ performance.
Otumfuo charged BOST to consider extending their export territories and focus also on the production of gas as its being done with petroleum.
“You don’t have to sign every contracts that come your way as not all contracts are legitimate, you should also regard exporting to Burkina Faso and its environs as you extend your pipelines”
His Majesty said he looked forward to more progress that will honour their team and him as well.
