West Ham Fires Graham Potter

West Ham has terminated the contract of Manager Graham Potter alongside his backroom staff after “falling short of expectations”.
The backroom staff include Assistant Coach Bruno Saltor, First Team Coaches Billy Reid and Narcis Pelach, Lead Goalkeeper Coach Casper Ankergren, and Goalkeeper Coach Linus Kandolin.
The Board of Directors of the Club in a statement said their underperformance became obvious over the course of the second half of last season and the start of the 2025/26.
In the statement the Board affirmed that a change is necessary in order to help improve the team’s position in the Premier League as soon as possible.
“The Board would like to thank Graham and his coaching staff for their hard work during their time with the Hammers and wish them every success for the future.”
Meanwhile, it said the process of appointing a replacement for the former Chelsea coach is underway.
West Ham United has had a tough start to the Premier League season, losing four out of five matches.
They lost their opening match by 3-0 to newly-promoted Sunderland and went ahead to suffer 1-5 home defeat against Chelsea.
After managing a 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest, they went on to suffer a 0-3 loss to Tottenham Spurs.
In the last game against Crystal Palace, West Ham lost 1-2.
Meanwhile, under under Graham Potter, the team was knocked out after of the Carabao Cup after losing 2-3 to Wolves.
Their next match is scheduled for September 29, 2025, against Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
