We’re Committed to Qualifying for World Cup to Make Ghana Proud- Ayew

The captain of the Black Stars, Jordan Ayew, says the team is prepared to appease Ghanaians for their failure in qualifying for the 2025 African Cup of Nations tournament.

In a message to the country after securing wins without conceding in the March international break qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, he said the team was making credible and deliberate efforts to qualify for the tournament.

The team’s topmost priority is to make Ghanaians proud.

“Although we faced challenges in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, we’re committed to turning things around and making you proud. We’re working diligently to enhance our game, ensuring we secure the necessary results in the remaining matches to qualify for the World Cup.”

“We’re not giving up. We’re focused on the task ahead, and we’re confident that together, we can achieve our goal. We’ll do everything in our power to make Ghana proud and bring joy to your hearts.”

The 33-year-old Leicester City winger also expressed appreciation to the country for the overwhelming support that was offered throughout the two games.

“Your infectious energy, passion, and loyalty inspire us, and we’re deeply honoured to represent this great nation. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and encouragement during these critical times. Your voices, messages, and presence at our matches fuel our determination to succeed.”
