We Played Well; Ogum on Holy Stars Draw
The Head Coach of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum has expressed satisfaction with the output of his boys in their 1-1 draw against Basake Holy Stars at the Crossby Awuah Memorial Stadium yesterday.
From his assessment of the entire 90 minutes, it was a good game despite dropping a point.
Holy Stars held the Warriors in a stalemate after the latter opened the scoreline earlier in the first half. Albert Amoah did Kotoko the honour in the 35th minute to add up to his goal bank.
Ogum’s side, however, lost the lead eight minutes to time to end the game on a 1-1 scoreline. This result keeps the Porcupines in the second place on the league log. They are three points apart from the leaders Bibiani Goldstars who hold 18 points from eight games.
Delivering his assessment of the game after the match, Dr Ogum expressed satisfaction with the performance.
“It was a good game. We played well. We had some control and certain segments within the game, especially in the first half and in the middle of the park. We had some control and that gave us the opportunity to show a lot of creativity especially upfront and create some chances. On the whole, in terms of how we played, we played well.”
Kotoko are booked to face Legon Cities in an outstanding game at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on October 30.
