We Haven’t Made Any Losses- GoldBod

The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has dismissed claims that it incurred losses of $214 million under the Bank of Ghana’s Gold for Reserves Programme.
In a statement, it said it had published its quarterly financial reports for the year 2025 and its gold trade report on its official website as required by section 42 of the Ghana Gold Board Act, 2025 (Act 1140), dispelling the reported losses.
On the contrary, it said the reports show that the GoldBod, in 2025, generated revenue of over GHS960 million from its assay fees, license fees, service charges, among others, while total expenditure was below GHS120 million.
In addition, it said the accounts of the GoldBod show a comprehensive income surplus of over GHS800 million.
It asserted, “The claim that the GoldBod has made Losses is therefore False.”
“The 2025 financials of the GoldBod will soon be audited by the Auditor-General. The report on the same will be published by the GoldBod by the end of the first quarter of 2026,” it assured.
