{WATCH}: Asantehemaa Dɔte Yie: Asantehene’s Breathtaking Yet Symbolic Appearance For Day Two

The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, made a ceremonial arrival as part of the second day of burial rites for the late Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa.
As on the first day, His Majesty was carried in a palanquin, accompanied by a grand procession under a solemn yet richly cultural atmosphere.
The Monarch was robed in a black cowrie-embroidered cloth, known locally as sedeɛ ntoma. The intricate design was complemented by a traditional mourning hat.
This symbolic appearance of His Majesty reflects the depth of grief felt across Asanteman.
Otumfuo stands as the chief mourner, as the late Queen was both his biological sister and, by tradition, his mother.
His Majesty is seated alongside Nananom to receive delegations from the Judiciary and Ghana Bar Association, Security Agencies, State-Owned Enterprises, and Financial Institutions.
