VIP Adjusts Transport Fares Upward

The VIP JEOUN Transport Service has upwardly adjusted transport fares for both its Executive and Standard coaches.

This increment takes effect today, Monday, October 24, 2022.

This is the third time the transport service has increased transport fares this year- first in February and then in May.

“VIP JEOUN Transport announces for the attention of the traveling public new fares effective on Monday 24/10/2022 at 07:00 hours GMT”, a statement from the transport service said detailing the new fares.

For Executive coaches, passengers travelling from Accra to Kumasi will now pay GHC100 up from GHc850; passengers from Accra to Sunyani will pay GHC 130 up from GHC 110; passengers from Accra to Drobo and Dormaa will pay GHC150 each up from GHC130.

For Standard coaches, passengers from Accra to Kumasi will pay GHc80 up from GH 65; passengers from Accra to Sunyani will pay Ghc115 up from GHC90; passengers from Accra to Drobo and Dormaa will both pay GHC125 up from Ghc 105 each.

In February this year, VIP JEOUN transport increased transport fares when the Concerned Drivers Union and the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) increased fares by 15%.

In May it increased its fares again when commercial drivers increased their fares by 20%.

Their new fares come as GPRTU announced an increment in fares by not less than 30%.
