(VIDEO): Tricycle Riders Should Be Educated – Taxi Drivers

Taxi drivers of Tepa in the Ahafo Ano North district Ashanti Region have suggested that tricycle riders should be given proper education and training.
In an interview on Opemsuo Radio’s on Monday, August 23, 2021, the taxi drivers explained how tricycle riders behave when driving.

“These drivers buy less fuel so they do not charge any amount higher amount and since Ghanaians want cheap things, majority patronize it”, said one driver.
“They have taken charge of our business but the problem is that young people below the ages of 18 do drive them and it is a contributing factor to increase accidents on our roads”, he said.
According to another driver, tricycle is not meant for commercial purpose but it has been commercialised and the authorities are quiet about it.
“About 95% are not having licenses hence not qualified. I’m suggesting that, they should pass through the process we pass through before acquiring a driving licences” he added.
