(VIDEO) President To The Rescue Of Health Minister

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, has said that the Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, has been subjected to unnecessary bashing as minister.
He said this at a gathering in the Bono Region during his visit on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
Addressing the people, the President noted that lots of intellectuals from the Region are helping in his governance and threw the crowd into a rib-aching laughter when he humourously mentioned the name of Minister for Health.
According to him, the Minister has been continuously battered by the people since his assumption of office but has remained resilient.
“I can speak of a lot of your people. The Minister of Health, Agyemang Manu, who is receiving slaps, is a native of Dormaa. He has suffered in the Ministry but is resilient”, he said.
The Minister for Health, Agyemang-Manu, has come under sharp criticisms after he engaged a private entity in the procurement of Sputnik V vaccines at a cost of $19 per dose as against $10 per dose from the manufacturers and without parliamentary approval.
Many have called for his resignation or dismissal by the President.
He is currently on two weeks leave.
