The Boamang Traditional Area, under the leadership of Boamanghemaa Oheneyere Nana Akua Pokua, officially outdoored its newly enstooled chief, Oheneba Adu-Brade II, on Tuesday, October 1, 2024
This follows his swearing of the oath of allegiance before Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace on September 30.
The Boamang stool had been vacant since the passing of Nana Owusutia II in 2001, making the enstoolment of Oheneba Adu-Brade II a significant moment for the community.
In a colourful ceremony held in Boamang, residents from all corners of the area, dressed in white, gathered to witness the long-awaited outdooring of their new chief.
Following tradition, Oheneba Adu-Brade II was seated in his palanquin as he was paraded through the streets, alongside jubilant community members, proudly displaying their rich cultural heritage.
Speaking at the Boamang Chief’s Palace, he expressed his deep gratitude to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Boamanghemaa Nana Akua Pokua, his royal family, and the people of Boamang for their support in selecting him as their chief.
He emphasized the importance of unity and development, promising to dedicate himself to the progress of Boamang.

Boamanghemaa Nana Akua Pokua, in her remarks, echoed the chief’s call for unity, urging all residents to join forces for the betterment of Boamang.
“We have come to develop Boamang Traditional Area.”
