US Security Force Trains GAF
The United States Security Force Assistance Brigade is in Ghana providing training and best service practices to personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), the United States of America Embassy in Ghana has relayed.
This, the Embassy said, is to help the GAF in responding to threats and to maintain peace and security in the country.
“The U.S. and Ghana are working together to ensure peace and security in Ghana, and building capacity to respond to threats in the region, because we’re #StrongerTogether”.
The training includes the detection of explosives and how to deal with such.
“U.S. soldiers recently shared tactics and procedures for countering improvised explosive devices, including spotting and eliminating the threat of hazardous explosives.”
The US Security Force Assistance Brigade is a specialised United States Army unit formed to conduct Security Force Assistance (SFA) missions which encompasses training, advising, assisting, enabling and accompanying operations with allied and partner nations.
