US Embassy in Ghana Warns Visa Applicants Against Document Forgery

The United States Embassy in Ghana has cautioned against lying or submitting forged documents in visa applications.
In a post issued on March 17, it warned that such an action could attract a permanent ban on travel to the US.
“If you submit fake documents with your U.S. visa application, you are committing fraud and risking your future.”
It disclosed that the Embassy adapt to emerging threats, thereby identifying all illegalities.
“Protect your future travel opportunities – tell the truth and do not provide fake documents.”
It comes as the Embassy has 2,000 Visa Appointment slots reserved for B1/B2 travellers with applicants being urged to take advantage for business trip, visiting family, general tourism, or to watch the World Cup.
“If you already have a U.S. visa appointment for later in the year, consider moving it up now. Visit our visa page for more information: https://gh.usembassy.gov/visas/”
Meanwhile, the US Department of State has paused all immigrant visa issuances to selected countries, including Ghana, whose immigrants have a high rate of collecting public assistance at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer.
