Unsuccessful 3-time NPP Sefwi Akontombra Parliamentary Candidate Quits Party

Unsuccessful three-time New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate of Sefwi Akontombra Constituency, Appiah-Kubi Baidoo, has resigned from the party.

In a letter to the party, he said the decision was necessitated following years of maltreatment against him and his immediate family by the party.

Meanwhile, the former District Chief Executive of Akontombra claimed that the National Executives of the party turned a deaf ear to all efforts including written appeals to get the attention of the leadership to act on the said maltreatment.

“I hope this message finds you well. Kindly accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation from the New Patriotic Pary.”

He is, however, grateful to the party for opportunities to serve as a District Chief Executive and three (3) times as its Parliamentary Candidate of the Sefwi Akontombra Constituency.

He added, “I unreservedly apologise to the thousands of supporters and sympathisers who have been with me through thick and thin over the last two decades and who will in one way or the other be affected by my resignation.”
