Two Suspects Arrested Over Wangarakrom Robbery and Extortion
The police have arrested two suspects in connection with a robbery and extortion incident at Wangarakrom, near Tarkwa in the Western Region.
Identified as Kwame Mumuni and Awal Benjamin, they were arrested on March 31, the police said in a statement on April 2.
“The Western Central Regional Police Command, on 31st March 2025 arrested two suspects in connection with a robbery and extortion incident at Wangarakrom, near Tarkwa in the Western Region.”
Among the exhibits retrieved during the arrest were a red unregistered Suzuki motorbike, military camouflage tops, three pairs of boots, a torchlight, a black face mask, and an amount of GHC 645.00 cash.
They are currently in police custody and being processed for court to face justice.
