Two More Suspects Arrested in Connection with Adabraka Gold Robbery

The police have arrested two more suspects in the November 2025 daylight robbery of a jewellery shop in Adabraka, Accra.

The suspects have been identified as Hamza Agrigo, alias Nene Bawku, and Alhassan Eliasu, alias Arab Man.

This was announced by the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Yohuno, on January 8, 2026, during the handing-over ceremony of 100 new police vehicles.

From them were retrieved firearms, ammunition, bulletproof vests, and other exhibits.

“I am happy to announce that, following intensive intelligence operations, two additional suspects linked to the Adabraka gold shop robbery have been arrested this morning at Ashaiman.”

He said this demonstrated the unrelenting resolve of the Service to offer the needed protection and safety.

“The arrest of high-profile fugitives such as those involved in the Adabraka gold robbery, among many others, continues to reassure us that we are taking firm and decisive action against violent crime,” he remarked.

Their arrest comes after an earlier breakthrough in the investigation, where two suspects identofied as Salim Mohammed alias Fariwata, were apprehended as key suspects on November 20, 2025.
