Two Confirmed MMDCEs Sworn Into Office

Two new Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) have been sworn into office by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene.

Hon. Yakubu Issifu, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Mampong Municipality and Hon. Ishaaq Ibrahim, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Mponua District, took their oaths on July 24, 2025.

This followed their confirmation by their respective assemblies, bringing the total number of MMDCEs confirmed and sworn into office in the Ashanti Region to 43.

During the swearing-in ceremony, the Regional Minister urged both Chief Executives to approach their new roles with a sense of urgency and commitment. He advised them to serve with humility and not to lord over their constituents.

Hon. Yakubu Issifu, speaking on behalf of the two newly sworn-in Chief Executives, conveyed their gratitude to the President for the confidence placed in them. He gave the assurance of their dedication to advancing the development of the region.
