Two Agbazo Robbers Jailed For 34 Years

Two armed robbers have been handed down 34 years imprisonment sentence by the Amasaman Circuit Court.

This followed their guilty pleas to Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Robbery contrary to Sections 23(1) and 149 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) on November 27, 2025.

A police report said the Lawrence Fumato, 28, and Daniel Dzoka, 20, attacked and robbed two victims on November 12, 2025 using a pair of scissors.

They were said to have stolen a Royal 150 motorbike, a Samsung mobile phone, a Teno Spark 8 phone, an itel keypad phone, and cash of GH$4,000.

They were arrested on November 17 at Agbazo near Golden Exotic Farm, a suburb of Accra.

 

In court on November 27, they were both convicted and sentenced to 17 years imprisonment each, with the sentences to run concurrently.

“The Accra Regional Police Command commends the community for its cooperation and encourages the public to continue supporting Police efforts by reporting all criminal activities through emergency numbers 18555 or 191.”
