Truck Driver and Mate Escape Death in Nkrumah Circle Accident
The driver and mate of a truck transporting beans and tiger nuts have escaped unhurt after their vehicle was involved in an accident on Wednesday night.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service, the accident happened at Nkrumah Circle near the Goil Filling Station.
The vehicle with registration number BE-2781 was said to be transporting 550 bags of beans and tiger nuts when it fell off the highway.
Firefighters immediately secured the scene, ensured public safety, and carried out clearance operations, leading to the restoration of normal traffic flow.
“The vehicle sustained damage to the engine compartment and passenger side,” it reported, adding that the cause of the accident is under investigation.
