Tricycle Carrying Concealed Cannabis Exposed after Accident, Rider Arrested

Suspected cannabis concealed in the charcoal bags has been exposed after a tricycle conveying them was involved in an accident near Techiman Methodist Park in the Bono East Region.
According to a police statement, a total of 397 slabs concealed in 14 bags of charcoal near were exposed after the tricycle ran into a stationary Kia Rhino Truck on March 8, 2026, around 2 pm.
The rider, identified as Robert Tannor,48, was immediately arrested.
“The suspect rider, who sustained severe leg injuries, was rushed to Holy Family Hospital, Techiman, for treatment and placed under police guard.”
Meanwhile, it said the Kia Rhino sped off from the accident scene.
“The Police are therefore seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the Kia Rhino Truck driver to assist in the Police investigation.”
