Toddler Rescued From Latrine In Nkawkaw

A three-year-old boy has been rescued alive by personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) from a latrine.

A statement issued by the Service on March 25 said he fell into the latrine at Asuogya in Nkawkaw on March 23, 2026.

“Upon arrival, the team quickly assessed the situation and initiated prompt rescue operations. Through skill, professionalism, and swift action, the firefighters safely retrieved the child, who was at risk of drowning.”

The victim was rescued alive and transported to Holy Family Hospital for medical attention.

“Eyewitnesses praised the firefighters for their quick response and dedication, noting that their intervention saved the child’s life.”
