Tidal Waves Victims To Be Resettled Next Year: Regional Minister Assures

The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. Archibald Letsa has assured parliament of resettlement of tidal wave victims in 2nd quarter of next year 2023 to accommodate the first barge.

According to the minister, 110 plots of land have been secured, contracts have been awarded, the road from the lagoon to the site has been constructed, and water and electricity from the National Grid have been extended to the site.

The minister appeared before parliament to answer parliamentary questions on what steps the Regional Coordinating Council has put in place to resettle tidal wave victims which was asked by Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, MP for Ketu South.

The Minister concluded by saying, the contractor is currently moving to the site to commence work.
