The Awoamefia of Anlo State, Torgbui Sri III has admonished the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for his presence at the Hogbetsotso festival.
He expressed his appreciation to the Asante Monarch and described the king’s move as “special” in the history of the festival.
“Today’s anniversary is a special one. Because this is the first time a reigning Asantehene visited any state in the Volta Region, and I want to show my appreciation for the willingness of the Asantehene to be among us”.
“He wanted to be with us in 2019, but something happened he couldn’t come, people were saying, it will not happen, and today the Asantehene is in our midst”, he added.
The Awoamefia made this pronouncement during his speech at the 2022 Hogbetsotso festival today at Anloga in the Volta Region.
