They Demanded $150K To Dump Number 12 Expose- Kwesi Nyantakyi
The former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi has claimed Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas sent his agents to demand $150,000 from him in exchange for caching permanently Number 12 documentary which revealed the rots in Ghana football.
According to him, Anas sent his agents, Adam Munkaila, a football administrator, and Lawyer Kwame Gyan.
He said he paid $100,000 to the agents, but notwithstanding, had the documentary publicly released.
“My colleague at the Executive Committee, Adam MunKaila from Tamale took me to Lawyer Kwame Gyan who teaches at Legon. He told me Anas had told him about my case as he was demanding that amount of money to dump the footage,” he recounted in an interview on Onua TV.
“I paid $100,000 but they said it’s not enough. When the documentary was aired, I called them to demand my money back. They paid it in bits but eventually, they paid the full amount.”
He thus alleged Anas uses his venture to extort money from his unsuspecting preys.
“He claims he is an anti-corruption crusader but when you study what he does well, you will notice that he is using it to extort money for himself.”
