There should be Public Education on tax payment – Ahafo Ano South-East DCE

The District Chief Executive Officer of Ahafo Ano South-East, Hon. Thomas Owusu Ansah has recommended that the Government organize an education exercise for taxpayers.

Speaking in an interview on Opemsuo radio’s Morning show Nkwantananso earlier today, the DCE explained that the internally generated fund of the Assembly wasn’t enough when he assumed office.

“With the help of the coordinating director, we started educating on tax payment,” he said.

According to him, there has been a significant improvement in the payment of tax after the education.
Hon. Thomas Owusu Ansah further explained that if a taxpayer understands the importance of tax payment, the collection will be much easier.

“Everyone should be able to know the reason for paying tax and the advantages associated with it”, he added.
