The Oak Seed in Shambles After 11th Drawn Game Against Basake Holy Stars

A member of Accra Hearts of Oak’s Oak Seed commented after the club drew for the eleventh time this season at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Accra Hearts of Oak has remained winless in the Premier League in their past three outings, drawing in their last two home games and a defeat to Bibiani Gold Stars at the Duns Park.

The Phobians have performed poorly at home this season; they have accumulated more points at home than Eleven Wonders and have recorded the greatest number of drawn matches at home after twelve games.

The club has been very abysmal in front of goal against opponents; they have scored as few as two goals in their last five league games against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and Bibiani Gold Stars at Duns Park.

The Oak Seed programme has proven profitable under the leadership of the newly elected National Chapters Committee Chairman, Alhaji Yussif Abdallah, with children observed in the stands at the University of Ghana Stadium at the commencement of the second half of the season.

A member of the Oak Seed spoke to Mohammed Shaban after their drawn game in Week 25 of the season against Basake Holy Stars.

The child stated, “Yes, if they do not win their next three matches or four matches, we won’t come here again, we don’t like the draw. When they win against Asante Kotoko, the rest draw, and lose, we don’t like those results; we will not come to support them again.”

“We will sing for ninety minutes, but we will not get anything, only a zero goal. So, when they do that, we won’t come to support them again. Hamza Issah and Mawuli Wayo have to start banging in the goals; if they fail to score, we will stay at home. We want a repeat of the results against Eleven Wonders. They have to win their next game against Heart of Lions, or else we won’t come.”
