Tetremhene Marks Enstoolment Anniversary with Ultramodern Community Centre Unveiling
Nana Akwasi Okoh II, Chief of Manso Tetrem and Otumfuo Brempong, has commissioned an ultramodern Community Centre to serve his people of on Sunday, 15th December, 2024.
The commissioning climaxed the series of activities earmarked for the celebration of his 2nd enstoolment anniversary.
It was graced by the Adumhene, Baffour Agyei Kesse who chaired the occasion, Nana Abena Ntiwaa, Queen Mother of Manso Tetrem and other chiefs.
Situated at the heart of the community, the state of the art facility is equipped with Durbar/Funeral Grounds, Reception, Unisex Saloon, Restaurant, Washing Bay, Toilet Facilities, Drinking Bar, Photo Studio, and others.
It was a moment of excitement for Nananom, religious leaders, and residents who filled the newly commissioned Nana Akwasi Okoh II Community Centre to its full capacity with veteran gospel artiste, Mama Esther and Mabel Okyere with their thrilling performances.
Speaking on the occasion, Nana Akwasi Oko, thanked the people, particularly his Queen Mother, family and Nananom for their enormous support since enstoolment. He disclosed the motivation and rationale behind the Community Centre.
“I want to first thank God for bringing me thus far. I also thank the Agona Royal Family who enstooled me as Chief of this community. I am also grateful to Nananom, each and every one of you in this community for your support in the last two years especially my family.”
“I built this facility to serve my people because I realised that the cost of funeral ceremony is very high so this community centre is to reduce the cost of funeral and also serve as recreational centre for all events,” he emphasized.
Chairman of the occasion, Adumhene representing the Asantehene commended Nana Akwasi Oko for the magnificent facility and expressed confidence in him.
He further urged the people to rally behind him.
“Otumfuo appointed Nana Akwasi Okoh II because he knew he could do it and what we are witnessing today affirms the King’s conviction and I am happy he has proved beyond doubt. This is an indication of just the beginning and I will urge all of you to support him for more development”.
Acknowledging the bad nature of the road networks leading to Manso Tetrem, Baffour Agyei Kesse assured the Chief and people of Tetrem that Nananom will do their best to ensure the government and the mining company in the area address the poor road network.
“We have seen the bad nature of the road and my assurance is that we will help you to collaborate with the government and the mining company to work on your road networks.”
