Tamale Teaching Hospital Denies Oxygen Shortage

The Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) has rebutted reports that it is currently experiencing oxygen supply crisis.

Acknowledging the technical challenges posed by one of it’s oxygen plants, it denied confronting such any shortage.

According to the Management of the facility, there is presently adequate oxygen supply to support all clinical services, with no disruption to oxygen availability within the facility.

“It is important to clarify that one of the hospital’s oxygen plants is presently undergoing technical repairs. However, this development has not compromised the hospital’s ability to supply oxygen to patients. The other oxygen plants remain fully operational and continue to supply oxygen.”

Furthermore, it stated that the hospital has secured partnerships with other external institutions, to avert such a crisis.

“It must be emphasized that, as we speak, TTH does not owe any of the companies as stated. The hospital therefore wishes to emphasize that patient care remains uninterrupted and no clinical service has been affected due to the shortage of oxygen supply as alleged.”

That said, the Management encouraged all stakeholders to seek clarification through the appropriate channels before circulating information that may cause unnecessary public anxiety or misrepresent the situation on the ground.

It added that TTH remains committed to patient safety, professionalism, and service with integrity.
