Sarkodie Did Not Charge to Feature on My Song ‘Fire’ – Kweku Flick

Ghanaian rapper Kweku Flick has revealed that his collaboration with Sarkodie on the track Fire came at no cost, highlighting the mutual respect and support they share in the industry.

According to him, neither of them demanded payment when they worked together. He explained that he did not charge Sarkodie for his verse on Messiah, and in return, Sarkodie also featured on Fire without asking for any fee.

The Money hitmaker further explained that his decision not to demand payment for collaborations is not limited to Sarkodie alone.

Over the years, he has recorded verses for many artistes—both established and upcoming—without taking money, stressing that his motivation comes from passion and connection with the music rather than financial gain.

“I never charged Sark to feature on Messiah, and it was the same for Fire. It’s not only Sark that I have worked with without charging. It’s part of who I am. It cuts across, but it depends; most of the features I do, I don’t charge,” he said in an interview on Opemsuo Radio’s Oseikrom Kwanso with Mac de President.

Kweku Flick has just dropped his latest track, Sikasem.
