Gifty Mensah Hasn’t Been Appointed Technical Advisor to Sports Minister- Ministry

The Ministry of Sports and Recreation has issued a disclaimer after Gifty Oware Mensah was introduced as the Technical Advisor to the sector Minister.

In a press statement, the Ministry noted that the said individual remains an Exco member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and a former Deputy Director of the National Service Authority (NSA).

“We wish to categorically state that neither the Ministry nor the Hon. Minister has appointed or recognised any individual by the name of Dr. Gifty Mensah as a Technical Advisor.”

It therefore urged the public to disregard any titles or attributions suggesting that Dr. Gifty Mensah is the Technical Advisor to the Minister of Sports and Recreation.”

“…This information is false and misleading. The Ministry remains committed to transparency and accurate communication.”

The media organisation has rendered an unqualified apology for the erroneous reporting that brought about the controversy.

“This mistake was unintentional, and we apologise for the confusion and inconvenience it caused to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, the Honourable Minister, Gifty Oware, and the public.”
