Photo Highlights Of Otumfuo Anniversary Clean-up Inspection

For more than two hours, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, was out on duty inspecting the clean-up exercise ongoing in selected places in Asanteman.

Tafo, Bantama, Adum, Kejetia, Asafo and Alabar were the selected suburbs of Kumasi for his inspection on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

Smartly dressed in a white polo shirt matching a white baseball cap, khaki and white sneakers, His Majesty went around with traditional authorities, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah, the Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Hon Samuel Pyne, the President of Angel Group, Dr Oteng, Director of Urban Roads for the Kumasi Metropolis, Ing Nana Poku Agyemang and others.

Meanwhile, chiefs including Tafohene Nana Agyen-Frimpong, Bantamahene Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI and Adumhene Baffuor Agyei Kesse IV stationed in their jurisdictions to welcome the King and brief him about the exercise.

The clean-up is the first of a series of events outlined as part of programmes to mark the 25th Anniversary of the King with the aim of making the environment appealing for subsequent events.
