Daniella Ntow Confirmed Substantive Head of Fire Service

Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong, the Acting Chief Fire Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), has been confirmed by the Public Services Commission (PSC).

The announcement was delivered by Surv. Dr Nana Agyemang Frimpong, Commissioner of the PSC, during the 3rd National Fire Conference on November 26, 2025.

Mrs Ntow Sarpong, who first assumed the role in an acting capacity in March 2025, has since steered the Service with a steady hand.

Her confirmation now gives her the full mandate to advance her vision of an open and transparent administration, one that prioritises the welfare of personnel while strengthening the Service’s capacity to combat fires and mitigate their destructive impact.

“The timing of her confirmation aligns perfectly with this year’s Fire Conference, which is heavily focused on rallying support from corporate Ghana for fire prevention and firefighting initiatives,” the Service said in a statement.
