Full Text of 2026 Budget Statement
The Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has presented the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy.
The Budget was read in Parliament on Thursday, November 13, 2025, in accordance with the Public Financial Management Act, which enjoins the Finance Minister—acting on behalf of the President—to present the national budget to Parliament no later than November 15 each year.
This followed several rounds of stakeholder engagements and industry consultations to finalise the policies and programs that will feature in the 2026 Budget.
The budget featured policies for job creation and economic growth stimulation while outlining measures aimed at reforming the tax system and improving revenue mobilisation.
