Police Arrest Viral ‘Man Beater’
The Ghana Police Service says the viral female ‘man beater’ has been arrested.
She was arrested at Subriso in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency of the Ashanti Region, a police statement confirmed on Friday.
“The police have arrested a woman seen in a viral video assaulting a man.”
Esther Nana Afia Sarfowaa was arrested together with one other suspect, identified as Stephen Ofori.
Stephen was nabbed at Nkawie for his role in the incident, while the police say efforts are underway to find three other suspects captured in the said video.
Meanwhile, the statement said the two are currently in custody, assisting with the investigation.
The lady, in the company of some men, was captured slapping her victim, who is allegedly her boyfriend. As the abuse proceeds, she is seen slapping the man with her slippers.
The video drew outrage as social media users called for the arrest of the woman.
