What Asantehene Said About Eswatini King’s Visit at 5th Awukudae

At the fifth Awukudae mini durbar at the Manhyia Palace on June 18, 2025, the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, made a brief remark about the visit of the iNgwenyama of Eswatini, His Majesty Mswati III.

This was when officials from Aliska Business Advisory and Research presented six newly invented Adinkra symbols inspired by His Majesty’s rulership for the past 26 years.

Welcoming the inventions, His Majesty scheduled a meeting with the team on Friday to discuss designing a present he intends to gift the “prominent” and “revered” visiting Monarch of the Southern African country.

“Next week I will be hosting a prominent monarch, the King of Eswatini. I would want them to design something for me as a present for him. Come see me on Friday for details of the present.”

King Mswati III is scheduled to journey to Ghana on a historic visit to Otumfuo from June 24 to June 28. The welcoming program features a durbar and a banquet.

This will reciprocate the Occupant of the Golden Stool’s visit to the Kingdom of Eswatini in 2015.

In preparation for the visit, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), has announced an extensive clean-up exercise on Saturday, June 21, 2025, to make the city presentable.

“To ensure full compliance and successful participation, all shops and commercial establishments in the Central Business Districts (CBDs) are expected to close from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon to facilitate the clean-up,” a part of the statement stated.
