The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has commenced round-the-clock services at the Tema and Takoradi Ports.

This is aimed at enhancing the issuance of Drive from Port (DP) Number plates as well as the registration of construction and farming equipment, it said in a statement.

The measure takes effect on July 3, 2025.

“Clients can access our DP Number Plate services and the registration of excavators and other farming and construction equipment around the clock at the Tema and Takoradi Ports, in a move to ensure greater convenience and flexibility.”

“This extended service hours is designed to cater for the diverse needs of our clients, including those with busy schedules who prefer to conduct transactions outside regular working hours.”

It also reiterated its commitment to providing top-notch services to the public, adding that the initiative is a testament to its dedication to excellence.

“We encourage all our clients to take advantage of this enhanced service. The general public is advised to use designated and authorized channels of DVLA to avoid the phenomenon of being issued with unapproved DP Number Plates and fake documentation.”
